The Buckshot Racing #77 Billet Carburetor Cover Plate Kit replaces old, rusted, corroded, bent, or damaged top cover plates on compatible Mercury WH-series carburetors used on classic 2.0L and 2.4L V6 two-stroke outboards, as well as 2.5 Liters fitted with WH carbs.
Each plate is precision CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum for a clean fit and durable finish, then anodized for added corrosion resistance and appearance. The kits are available in blue, red, or black anodized finishes, making them a practical restoration part as well as a clean visual upgrade for rebuilt Mercury V6 powerheads.
These billet plates replace original Mercury / Mariner / Quicksilver cover plates associated with OEM part number 1395-6032, a part that has become increasingly difficult to source and is commonly encountered as No Longer Available (NLA).
Fits Mercury WH-Series Carburetors
This kit fits a broad range of Mercury WH carburetors used on 2.0L and 2.4L V6 two-stroke engines, including: WH-2, WH-3, WH-7, WH-12, WH-14, WH-15, WH-18, WH-20, WH-21, WH-22, WH-23, WH-26, WH-27, WH-28, WH-29, WH-31, WH-35, WH-38, WH-39, WH-40, WH-46, and WH-48.
These carburetor families were used across many classic Mercury and Mariner V6 outboards, including numerous 135, 150, 175, 200, (early) 225 HP applications, as well as performance combinations based on the 2.0L and 2.4L platforms.
Because many older engines have been rebuilt or fitted with different carburetors over the years, verify the actual WH carburetor number before ordering.

Add WH Carburetor Rebuild Kits
For a more complete carburetor restoration, the billet cover plates can be paired with three WH carburetor rebuild kits with needle and seats included; common rebuild-kit references include: 1395-6026, 1395-6452, 1395-6452B, and Sierra 18-7005.
Using fresh rebuild components along with new billet cover plates is a good approach when servicing older WH carburetors that have been exposed to fuel residue, corrosion, dried gaskets, or long-term storage.
Why Replace the Original Plates?
Original carburetor cover plates are often exposed to humidity, fuel vapor, water intrusion, and decades of heat cycles. Over time, the factory pieces can rust, discolor, warp, or become damaged around the mounting holes.
A distorted cover plate can also make it harder for the gasketed carburetor cover area to seal evenly.

Buckshot Racing #77 Tech Tip
Before installing the new plates, inspect each carburetor body for corrosion, damaged threads, warped gasket surfaces, or old gasket material.
Clean the mounting surface carefully and use the correct gasket or rebuild components for the specific WH carburetor. Start all hardware by hand and tighten evenly so the billet plate seats flat against the carburetor body.
Do not overtighten the screws. The goal is even clamping pressure without distorting the carburetor body or damaging the new cover plate.
