The Boyesen 5-Petal Race Dual Stage Reed Kits are direct replacements for Mercury engines equipped with 5-petal horizontal reed cages.
They fit many Mercury Marine and Mercury Racing 2.0L, 2.4L, and 2.5L V6 engines, including numerous 135 HP, 150 HP, 175 HP, and 200 HP carb and EFI outboards, as well as high-performance models such as the XR4, SST-140, Bridgeport EFI, Laser EFI, 200 EFI, and many modified racing engines using the factory 5-petal reed cage.
Rather than simply replacing worn reeds, Boyesen's Dual Stage technology improves airflow control throughout the engine's entire operating range. Two composite reed petals work together automatically, with the lighter primary reed responding instantly at low engine speeds while the stiffer secondary reed progressively opens as crankcase pressure increases.

Both reed kits install directly into factory Mercury 5-petal reed cages with no modifications required.
