A carburetor rebuild is one of the best ways to restore crisp throttle response, cleaner idle quality, and dependable fuel control on a legacy Mercury / Mariner V6 two-stroke. This WMH Carburetor Rebuild Kit is designed for the WMH-series carburetors found on many 1991–1993 Mercury / Mariner 2.5 Liter engines—including AA, BB, CC, EE, F, and NN blocks—as well as select 3.0 Liter applications.

 

The kit includes the needle and seat plus the core gaskets and service parts typically needed during a standard carb refresh.

Important note for pumper carb owners

This is the core rebuild kit for the pumper WMH carb bodies, meaning it covers the standard internal service items such as the needle and seat and gaskets. However, the separate pumper-specific rebuild pieces are not included, and those pumper parts are no longer available. If you are rebuilding a pumper carb, this kit still handles the core service items, but it does not include the discontinued pumper hardware.

Why the needle and seat matter

The needle and seat control fuel entry into the bowl. If they are worn, dirty, or varnished, the carburetor can flood, leak, or meter fuel inconsistently. That can show up as hard starting, poor idle, rich running, or fuel dripping after shutdown. Including the needle and seat in the kit is important because it addresses one of the most common wear points in an older WMH carburetor.
