Our Trim/Tilt Relays & Harness is designed to replace and upgrade tilt/trim systems in marine engines. It is compatible with Mercury Marine, Mariner, Force, OMC (Johnson and Evinrude), Yamaha, and Volvo two-wire systems, providing a versatile option for a wide range of power trim and tilt applications.
The assembly is built to meet the demands of marine environments, ensuring reliability and durability in critical engine operations.
This assembly features two pre-wired relays with terminal connectors for streamlined installation, reducing the risk of improper wiring and ensuring consistent performance.
A 50-amp in-line MAXI blade fuse is wired into the harness, offering circuit protection to prevent damage from electrical surges. Along with the relays and fuse, the harness is configured to integrate seamlessly with existing engine wiring setups.
Cross-referenced to multiple OEM part numbers, this assembly is designed for broad compatibility with various engine models including part numbers include; CDI 852-9820, 882751A1, 882751A2, 882751A3, 882751A4, 882751A5, 882751A6, 882751A7, 882751A8, 882751A9, and 8M0057693.
The installation of the Trim/Tilt Relays & Harness requires standard safety precautions, such as disconnecting the battery before beginning work. The relays can be mounted on stable points, such as the coil plate, to ensure a secure setup.
Wiring the system involves connecting the motor's blue and green wires to the appropriate relay terminals, aligning the blue/white and green/white wires with the engine harness, and routing the red wire to the positive terminal of the starter solenoid or regulator/rectifier.
After installation, it is important to cycle the tilt/trim system through its full range to verify correct functionality.
Constructed with marine-grade materials, this assembly is designed for long-term reliability under challenging conditions. Routine inspection of the wiring, relays, and fuse is recommended to identify any signs of wear or corrosion. The system’s design allows for easy replacement of components, which can extend the lifespan of the harness and maintain performance.
