The Buckshot Racing #77 Mercury WH Carburetor Rebuild Kit with Billet Cover Plates is a complete service package for restoring a full set of three WH-series carburetors used on classic Mercury and Mariner 2.0L and 2.4L V6 two-stroke outboards.
WH carburetors are also widely used on modified and rebuilt 2.5L V6 performance engines, making this kit useful for both original restorations and custom race or lake-performance builds.
The package combines three complete WH carburetor gasket, needle and seat rebuild kits with three CNC-machined 6061 aluminum billet top cover plates, giving you the primary service components needed to refresh one complete three-carb Mercury V6 induction system.
Billet Replacement for Mercury 1395-6032
The original Mercury / Quicksilver carburetor top cover plate is commonly referenced as 1395-6032 and is now difficult to source in new condition.
Buckshot Racing #77 replaces that aging factory component with a precision-machined 6061 billet aluminum cover plate designed to maintain proper fit and sealing while offering better corrosion resistance than old steel plates.
The billet covers are available in anodized red, blue, or black, allowing the finished carburetor assembly to match the rest of your engine build.
Each kit includes three billet plates, enough for one complete Mercury V6 WH carburetor setup.
Complete WH Gasket, Needle & Seat Rebuild Kits
The package also includes three complete WH carburetor rebuild kits with needle and seat assemblies.
These kits cross-reference applications associated with:
- Mercury 1395-6026
- Mercury 1395-6452
- Mercury 1395-6452B
- Sierra 18-7005
The rebuild components replace aged gaskets, seals, needle-and-seat parts and related service items that can contribute to fuel leakage, flooding, poor idle quality or inconsistent fuel control.
Servicing all three carburetors together is generally the best approach on a Mercury V6 because it keeps the induction system consistent from cylinder bank to cylinder bank.
Mercury WH Carburetor Applications
This package supports a wide range of Mercury WH carburetors, including: WH-2, WH-3, WH-7, WH-12, WH-14, WH-15, WH-18, WH-20, WH-21, WH-22, WH-23, WH-26, WH-27, WH-28, WH-29, WH-31, WH-35, WH-38, WH-39, WH-40, WH-46, and WH-48.
These carburetors were commonly used on Mercury 2.0L and 2.4L V6 two-stroke outboards, including many 135, 150, 175 and 200 HP applications.
WH carburetors are also frequently installed on rebuilt 2.5L Mercury V6 performance and racing powerheads, but jetting, linkage and intake configuration must be matched to the specific engine.
Why Rebuild All Three Carburetors Together?
A Mercury V6 WH induction system relies on three carburetors working together. If one carb has worn gaskets, a leaking needle and seat, incorrect float control or restricted passages, the engine may develop uneven fuel delivery between cylinders.
Rebuilding all three carburetors at the same time helps establish a common baseline for float operation, fuel sealing, throttle synchronization and jetting inspection.
The billet cover plates also replace rusted, warped or damaged originals that may no longer clamp evenly against the carburetor body.
Buckshot Racing #77 Tech Tip
Before assembly, clean each carburetor thoroughly and inspect the body, float, jets, passages, throttle shafts and sealing surfaces.
Do not assume the jets currently installed are correct simply because the engine previously ran. Many Mercury V6 engines have been modified over the years, especially 2.5L powerheads running older WH carburetors.
After rebuilding, verify float settings and perform a complete link-and-sync procedure so all three carburetors begin opening together and reach the correct wide-open-throttle position.
Kit Includes:
- 3 x Mercury WH Carburetor Rebuild Kits with Needle & Seats
- 3 x CNC-Machined 6061 Billet Top Cover Plates in Red, Blue, or Black anodized finish.
The Buckshot Racing #77 Mercury WH Carburetor Rebuild and Billet Cover Plate Kit is a complete solution for restoring aging WH carburetors on 2.0L and 2.4L Mercury V6 outboards and properly configured 2.5L performance builds, combining critical fuel-system service parts with durable billet replacements for the discontinued Mercury 1395-6032 cover plates.
